Walnut, CA (August 15, 2014) If you live in the SoCal area, ATLUS and Level Up will be hosting a special Persona 4 Arena Ultimax event at Super Arcade in Walnut, CA for Wednesday Night Fights on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

The event starts at 8 p.m. and has a $5 entry fee, but theyll have playable stations of P4AU on PS3 and Xbox 360!

For those who cant make it, well be livestreaming a special grudge match between the voice of Kanji Tatsumi, Matthew Mercer, and Mr. Street Fighter himself, Alex Valle. You can catch it on the Level Up Twitch stream!

In a surprise announcement, The Asia Northwest Cultural Education Association confirms iconic character designer Range Murata as Guest of Honor for Sakura-Con 2014!

Range_Murata_2014 Best known for his character design work in series such as Last Exile, Blue Submarine No. 6, Shangri-la, and Solty Rei, Mr. Murata’s unique conceptual art – which often fuses Art Deco and Sci-Fi elements – has graced many a publication including Formcode, 138°E, futurythm, and ROBOT. His contributions has earned him the 2006 Seiun Award for “Best Artist of the Year”.

Mr. Murata will be joining Shigehiko Sato, Mami Koyama, Koichi Ohata, Hiroshi Nagahama, ELISA, Tomohiko Ito, Shingo Adachi, Koji Masunari, Toshifumi Akai, Yui Ishikawa, Kyoji Asano, Tetsuya Nakatake, Tetsuya Kinoshita, Todd Haberkorn, Leah Clark, Patrick Seitz, Erica Mendez, Erik Scott Kimerer, Matthew Mercer, and Christopher Smith and YOU at Sakura-Con 2014!

Earlier this week, ANCEA announced Shigehiko Sato as Guest of Honor for Sakura-Con 2014!

Shigehiko_Sato_2014Mr. Sato has been involved in the production of anime favorites such as Galaxy Railways and Fushigi Yugi-Eikoden, as well as bringing many anime titles such as Yu Yu Hakusho to the US and other territories outside of Japan. His latest venture has been promoting Fuji-TV’s noitaminA in the USA as a powerhouse of cutting-edge anime, their most recent offering is Psycho-Pass

The Asia Northwest Cultural Education Association recently announced renowned Seiyu Mami Koyama as Guest of Honor for Sakura-Con 2014!

Mami_Koyama_2014Ms. Koyama is not only best known as the voice of Minky Momo in Mahou no Princess Minky Momo and Arale Norimaki in Dr. Slump, but has been earning accolades as a premiere voice actress since her debut live action show Kiyoko wa Nakumonka (Kiyoko Won’t Cry). Her extensive career contributions include: Kei in Akira, Lunch in Dragon Ball, Chiyoko Fujiwara (adult) in Millenium Actress and Ryoko Mendou in Uresei Yatsura.
